Cousins Returns

Just a post to say “‘onya Ben!” to Ben Cousins, who this morning trained for the first time with his new team, the Richmond Tigers. After a hectic twelve months of battling drugs, Cousins has made his return to AFL wih strict requirements revolving around drug testing.

My mum and I made our way down to Punt rd. Oval, otherwise known as Tigerland, at eight in the morning to watch his first session with the other boys among with what is said to be about 2,000 Tiger fans. As I said to Mum, it was like being in Enemy Territory for a bit. Cousins himself was looking pretty happy and seemed to be training well, along with getting on with his new team. I think it’s great of Richmond to take him on, after he was turned away by other teams in the AFL.

P.s. :: I was so tempted to buy a Richmond “32″ gernsey while we were there. Despite the fact that I have always and always will (hopefully :P) support Essendon. Too bad they weren’t in stock.

Deviant Art

I’ve been looking for ages to find a site, other than here, to put up my fanart. I finally found one a few weeks ago called Deviant Art, which supplies a number of Artists and Authors with space that they can use to put up their works. I made myself an account, but still have yet to put everything up onto it… Hmmm… I might just finish putting it up there when I get home at the end of next week.

Wicked Chocolate Cake!!!

Hello! lol… I had Food Technology today (before I hurted my handy-o!) and we made this awsome cake… It’s really moist and yummy! Funny story though to warn you about under-cooking if you are going to try this (I suggest you do!) Paul is in my food class and his cake wouldn’t cook as the gas in his oven kept going out so he and Jesse had to use Gemma’s. When time management time came at quarter past, his cake still wasn’t cooked and he had to take it out any way… It sunk through the cooling rack and onto the bench… *snigger*… poor Paul, he had Sludge cake! It still tasted good.. apparently… I know that the actual, nice-looking cake, does any way. Also, if you wish to ice it (we didn’t, no time to… and no ingredients…) Ms. Levett, my Food teacher, suggests a Ganache… Butter and Chocolate!!! … Yum!… Here’s the excellent recipe…;

3/4 cup caster sugar

1 1/4 cup self-raising flour

2 eggs

3/4 cup boiling water

80 grams (4 tbs) butter

1/4 cup cocoa powder

1/2 tsp bicarb soda

 baking paper

1) Pre-heat oven to 180 degrees celcius.

2) Grease cake tray. Cut out baking paper and place on bottom of tray. regrease tray.

3) Dissolve Sugar and Butter completely in boiling water in large bowl.

4) Sieve Cocoa Powder, Flour and Bi-carb soda into same bowl in one go.

5) Whisk mixture for two minutes until smooth.

6) Add both eggs and whisk for further minute.

7) Pour mixture into pan and place in oven for thirty minutes. Watch the cake and check often with clean skewer as cake may cook slower or faster depending on oven.

Daniel hates James and I Disagree with Daniel

I was talking with a friend of mine, Daniel, on msn earlier and he was reading one of my fanfictions, Rejection is Hard, which is a Lily James romance/Angst fiction. Of course, in sport today, Daniel and I were having a discussion on who was better; Snape or James. I said James, Being a true Potter supporter, while Daniel went for Snape. It turned into a heated (lol) argument and has continued on to tonight and we just ended it by agreeing to disagree. Arrgh! lol…

We had a convo on msn about the story and I got upset with Daniel for some of his suggestions.

Basketball!

We are the Champions!!!  My basketball team beat St. Christophers! Oh yeah, Uh-huh! we rule!… okay! a bit too much self-worship…. any way, I want to say congratulations to St. Christophers Under !6 Girls C-grade Basketball team, for both making the Grandfinal a great game and for whooping Salvo Saints last week in the (prelim?) final! Anthony (My Coach) wishes that they hadn’t beat Salvo Saints because we love to get their coach riled up!

Apparently at last weeks match, the coach of the Salvo Saints went beserkers and got Tech-Fouled out of the Stadium! Lol… I feel sorry for their players… The assistant coach got Tech-Fouled aswell, Salvo Saints also procured a whopping 43 fouls… *whistle*. At the game the week before, we played Salvo Saints for the (Semi?) Final, The coach got mad and started to shout at the ref, earning another Tech Foul for the man.

So, here’s three cheers for Taylors Lakes U16 C-grade 1, Winners of the grandfinal! Oh, also some honourable Mentions; Jess (St. Christophers) Got hit in the face and came back strong!, Rachell (Taylors Lakes) Got kneed in the knee… Luckily not the damaged one, great game to the Cripple!!!, and Finally Jamie (St. Christophers) Great shots I think she got three three-pointers in in the game… maybe four… great game to you! great game to everybody who played actually…

Renee’s Pole…!?!

Today was my first day back at good old school for this week… Remember I was sick… I still am! any way, I went to the Library this morning (as usual) and decided to make a new post (the 2nd Icon post) which was of course not put up until now. I was sitting at the computer and generally doing nothing when one of my great mates Renee came into the Library, she started to verbally bully me for being away and leaving her with the others… I seriously can’t see what is wrong with the though. Renee then also got onto a computer next to mine to show me her food assignment (yeah right, It was a pic of Dan Radcliffe that she and the others had found on the net, but was afraid that the Librarian would kick her out for showing it… >.<).

 Today also happened to be Medieval festival day for year eights and they, and their teachers were dressing up for the occasion… I saw Mrs. Bainbridge, my English teacher in the morning… I liked her dress…, any ways, my point is that one of the Librarians was dressing up as a jester or something like that and had this “pole” that had a jester head on the end with bells. Renee and I stared at it with longing eyes… *sigh*. Then comes the point of this whole post… Renee turned to me and said;

Renee: Look at the pole. I want the Pole. Rebekah, get me the Pole!…… Harry’s pole’s better. *shifty eyes* *smirks*

I laughed at that and when we left later in the morning, we just had to compliment the Library staff on their “Wonderful” costumes… I remember my Medieval Festival, I got dressed up and Paul and I won the best dressed male and best dressed female prizes… That was a fun day, we made chain mail!!!
